VRINDAVAN
Vrindavan is one of the most sacred places of Hindu communities. Located in the northern part of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh beside the Yamuna River, the place is famous for divine sanctity. The town was constructed in the 8th century AD and situated at an altitude of over 3 thousands metres above sea level. Vrindavan is mainly famous because of being the pilgrimage site of Lord Krishna. The place finds its description in the epic Mahabharata. It is said that the Lord Krishna played love making acts with his thousands of playmates in Vrindavan. Because of this religious importance, the site is regarded the most sacred place of Hindu.
The name of this holy site came into being with the sacred Tulsi (basil) plant. It is said that the holy place is christened after Vrinda Devi. She was one of the playmates of lord Krishna. A trip to Vrindavan will take you to the religious sanctity of temples fraught with all places of the site. The place houses as many as 5500 temples of Hindu community. As many as five lakhs of devotees come to pay their spiritual tour to this holy land of Lord Krishna to take his blessings.

Vrindavan experiences 45 degree Celsius of temperature during summer while in winter; the temperature is around 32 degree Celsius in day & 14 degree Celsius at night.

Nidhi Van
Nidhi van is one of the most sacred places of Vrindavan. It is believed that lord Krishna with Radha and his playmates play here at night. There is a temple in the Nidhi van dedicated to lord Radha-Krishna. The priest of the temple offers obligation to the deity at night and surprisingly the next day, the whole obligations and adornments of the deity are disorganised and half eaten. It is believed that both Radha-Krishna visits here at night and temper with the obligations and adornments.
Rangaji Temple
The Rangaji Temple came into existence in the year 1851. The temple is beautified with merging Rajput architecture flavoured with south Indian style. At the central enclosure of the temple lies 15 m gold plated pillar which is the main attractions of it. There is also arrangement of electronic puppets decked with colourful mural of god and goddesses at the entrance. The puppet tells the tourists about story of Ramayana and Mahabharata. During Brahmotsava Festival which is celebrated between March-April months, the devotees are mostly seen in and around the temple.
Banke Bihari Temple
Banke Bihari Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The legend has it that once one of the disciples of Swami Haridas asked him if the god he is worshiping will ever come into their view. He told him that at the right time their query will be answered. Later, he recalled the disciple and fulfilled his wish by evoking Radha Krishna through his songs. At the same time, Radha- Krishna took a single form of deity at the place, further known as Banke Bihari. During the British regime, some of the saints with subscriptions erected a temple which is today known as Banke Bihari temple. You will wonder to know that the adornment of the deity inside the temple is done separately – One side for Radha and the rest for Krishna. The temple is surrounded with scenic natural forestlands, rivers and fascinating hilltops.
Iskcon Temple
The temple is dedicated to lord Krishna. This is one of the most reverend religious spots of Vrindavan. The temple came into being with the help of international society for Krishna consciousness in 1966. the tourist can also see another temple of the same group which is dedicated to lord Krishna and his elder brother Balarama.

Yamuna River
A tour to Vrindavan will enable you to have a glimpse of the holy river Yamuna. The river is said to have spelled with magical charm that soothes the disturbed souls affected with worldly affairs. The river with its various banks is said to be the charming land of lord Krishna. According to Mahabharata, lord Krishna de-poisoned the river by defeating giant cobra named Kalia. Since then, Yamuna River holds special veneration in the heart of devotees. The river is also believed to open the door of salvation because Yamuna is the wife of Lord Krishna which finds the description in the Bhagawat Mahapuran, a holy book of Hindu.
Kesari Ghat
Kesari Ghat is the most reverend bank of Yamuna River. The legend has it that a demon named Kesi was killed by Lord Krishna on this Ghat. The devotees absolve themselves from sin by taking a dip into Kesari Ghat. They also offer their homage by lighting diyas echoed with ritual mantras.
