Day 01 : Chennai
After arrival in Chennai, get transferred to the hotel.

Day 02 : Chennai
Chennai, the fourth largest city of India, has a population of 5,5 million people and a big metropoliant city. Here you will get to see Fort St. George, St. Thomas Church, 5 km long Marina Beach, and National Museum.

Day 03 : Chennai
On this day, you will be given a chance to see the procession of “Nandi Bull Festival” in Mylapore.

Day 04 : Chennai/Kanchipuram (64 Kms)/Chennai
In the morning, tourists will be driven to Kanchipuram (64 km) which easily features among Hinduism’s seven most sacred cities in India. With around 1000 temples, the place will give you a true colour of Hindu religion. Visit the Kailashnath Temple, Ekambaranathar-Temple and Vaikuntha Perumal Temple to feel the pulse of the city.

In the evening, return to Chennai/Madras to have overnight in hotel

Day 05 : Chennai
Enjoy the “the big chariot festival” in the Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore. The temple is dedicated to Shiva.

Day 06 : Chennai
You will be given another visit to Mylapore for the “Festival of 63 Saints”. The procession will give you a chance to see 63 pictures of saints, the statues of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha.

Day 07 : Chennai/Tanjore
After breakfast, get driven to Tanjore. En-route, you will have the chance to visit temples in Chidambram and Gangaikondacholaporam. Proceed to Tanjore to visit Brihadisvara Temple. This world-famous temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Day 08 : Tanjore/Trichy
After breakfast, get driven to Srirangam which is a big temple city. It’s situated on an island on the Kaveri. Visit Ranganathasvami Temple, Jambukeshwara-Temple and Rock Fort. After that, discover the old city on foot and see the places like Big Bazar Street and China Street.

Day 09 : Trichy
After breakfast, get driven to Srirangam which is a big temple city. It’s situated on an island on the Kaveri. Visit Ranganathasvami Temple, Jambukeshwara-Temple and Rock Fort. After that, discover the old city on foot and see the places like Big Bazar Street and China Street.

Day 10 : Trichy/Madurai
In the morning, take a drive to Madurai via Swamimalai. Swamimalai is known the world over for its school of iconography and Chola style bronzes. Madurai has always been rated as the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu state. Here, you will get a chance to feel the famous Dravidian culture, its art, architecture, palaces and temple buildings.

Day 11 : Madurai
Visit Meenakshi – Temple and Thirumalai Nayak Palace to complete a good visit.

Afternoon free

Day 12 : Madurai/Rameshwaram/Madurai
Take an excursion to Ramesvaram, a place where Rama (the God) is believed to have worshiped Shiva (the god). Visit the world famous Ramalingesvara (or Ramanathasvami) temple founded by the Cholas.

After sightseeing, drive back to Madurai

Day 13 : Madurai/Thekkady
After breakfast, get driven to Thekkadi the Periyar National Park through the cardamom country. Periyar National Park is about 780 sq. km long wildlife sanctuary which is centered on an artificial lake fed by the Periyar River. Enjoy the sightseeing of the animals like elephant, bison, deer and occasionally, tiger. 246 species of birds and 112 species of butterfly will make your visit an occasion to remember.

Day 14 : Thekkady/Trivandrum/ Kovalam
Morning after breakfast, take a drive to Kovalam via Trivandrum. You will almost reach to the southern tip of India. Scenic backwaters and excellent beaches have made the place a perfect retreat for a seaside holiday.

Day 15 : Kovalam
Free for independent activities.

Day 16 : Kovalam
Enjoy an excursion to Kanyakumari which is also known as the Land’s end of India’. A place where the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal meet; a perfect place to enjoy the sunset and the moonrise over the ocean.

Day 17 : Kovalam/Trivandrum/Fly back home
Transfer to airport in Trivandrum to connect flight back home.
