PUSHKAR
Only few towns in India attract as much attention as Pushkar do for its world renowned camel fair. Situated to the North West of the city Ajmer in Rajasthan and just 11 kilometers away, Pushkar is the only place of pilgrimage devoted to Lord Brahma in India. A number of bathing locales dot the place and serve as Ghats. Devotes and pilgrims dip in the sacrosanct water of the lake for refinement of both the body and the soul. Pushkar easily features among the most religious places for Hindus across India. Apart from the Pushkar Fair of the trading of camels, the place is also popular or the Lord Brahma Temple and a scenic lake. The city is positioned at a distance of 11 kms from Ajmer, a vital city of the state Rajasthan. Pushkar has about 400 temples and 52 Ghats, and has the only temple into the country that is dedicated to Lord Brahma. Visiting the Brahma temple and to enjoying the cattle fair every year attracts tourists to Ajmer each year.
Climate
Pushkar has an extreme climate with high climatic variations between the seasons. The days in summers are humid but the nights are pleasant. Temperature remains around 10C in the winters. Weather in monsoon is not very nice as there is remote rainfall in this season

Pushkar Fair
Every November, Pushkar comes alive for the Pushkar Camel Fair as tourists from all parts of the globe throng to the place to be an active part of this world-renowned fair. Rated as the world's largest camel fair, villagers from far and near congregate together and take pleasure from a holy dip in the sacred Pushkar Lake.
Brahma Temple
The Brahma temple, dedicated to The Lord Brahma who is revered as the inventor of the cosmos, is the only Brahma temple in India. According to legend, Brahma performed a Yagya here when a lotus fell from his hands here and resulted in the formation of the Pushkar Lake.
Varah Temple
The holy place is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple has an icon of Vishnu in his fifth incarnation of untamed boar; built by the King Anaji Chauhan.
Savitri Temple
This temple is devoted to the Goddess Savitri, one of Brahma's wives, and is located on the highest hill above the Pushkar town.
Pushkar Lake
Pushkar Lake is one of the sacred spots of the town; believed that bathing in this lake is equivalent of performing yagnas for years.

By Air
The nearest airport is of Jaipur, which is at a distance of 145 kms; regular flights to and fro: Delhi, Mumbai, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ahmadabad, and Aurangabad.
By Rail
Nearest railway station is Ajmer 11 km with direct trains for Jaipur, Delhi, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, and other major destinations in the region. Faster trains include Shatabdi Express who links the Ajmer with Delhi.
By Road
Tourism being a significant activity in Pushkar, the convenience is taken care with a fine network of roads; fast and proficient transportation service. Pushkar is linked well with all the major cities via road. The town from Ajmer covers a distance of 14 kms.
