MANGALORE


Mangalore, one of the major cities in the state of Karnataka, is located to the south by the shores of Arabian Sea. It’s a charming port city of Karnataka and invites guests for its being a meandering, green and friendly town that is a tranquil getaway. The city has a tropical climate. Summer and winter are quiet similar in the city and both are quiet pleasant with average temperature ranging between 27 degree Celsius to 34 degree Celsius. Humidity is a big issue here that goes onto touch 78 % level.

Attractions in the city


Kadri Manjunath Temple
Kadri Manjunath Temple easily features among the most ancient historic spot in the city as it was built in 1068 A.D. The Lokeshwara bronze statue of the Kadri Manjunatha Temple is rated as the best bronze statue in India.

Sultan Battery
The Sutan battery, located in Boloor about 6 Kms away from Mangalore, is a structure built in Black Stones by Tipu Sulthan. Despite its construction being exceptionally exquisite, the structure does not attract a great number of tourists to the city.

St. Aloysius Church
St. Aloysius Church is located just 1 kms away from Nehru Maidan Bus stand in Magalore. Built in the year 1899-1900, the church has breathtaking series of paintings that exactly cover every inch of the interior roof and walls.

Shri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple
Mangalore, well-known as a pilgrim centre, has a lot of sacred temples like Sharavu, Kadri, Mangaladevi, Kudroli etc. Among the lot of temples, Sri Mahaganapathi Kshetra Temple stands out for being quite impressive and a sanctimonious centre of splendid history.

Maravanthe
Located just minutes drive north of Mangalore, Maravanthe has a pretty beach, known for its exotic beauty.

Malpe Beach
Located at around one and half hour drive north of Mangalore is the pristine beach of Malpe. The splendour of this beach is rightly complemented by serene environs and makes this beach a favorite holiday spot.
