KISHANGARH


Kishangarh, a small sleepy town situated some 27 km away from Ajmer, was founded by Maharaja Kishan Singh in 1611 AD and that’s why the name came into being. Kishangarh prides for a rich past. Apart from a glorious past, the town is credited for having originated one of the finest schools of miniature painting that prospered under the patronage of the poet king Sawant Singh (1637-1657). A tour to Kishangarh offers tourists to witness Bani Thani paintings which are main attractions besides the grand Kishangarh Fort and the Phool Mahal.
