JHARKHAND
The state of Jharkhand is mainly located in the eastern part of Indian subcontinent. The part of Indian Territory is surrounded with neighbouring states like Bihar from the north, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from western side, Orissa from the south and from the western corner is Bengal. The land geographically covers an area of almost 79.70 Lakh Hect. The state came into existence followed by its division from state of Bihar on November 15, 2000. Coincidentally, it was also the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a famous figure from history who led the Aadivasis to fight against the British when India was ruled by them. Ranchi, the capital city of the state is also the industrial hub.
History
Some historians assume that the entity of Jharkhand existed even before the time of Magadha Empire; a clear testament evident in cultural entity of the state. Firstly the state was ruled by Raja Jai Singh Deo of Orissa whose lack of fair judgement quality prompted the subject to take resort to rulers of the neighbouring states who seemed more sagacious than Jai Singh. Thus, the rulers of Orissa shifted into Jharkhand, established their power and ruled for centuries in peaceful harmony. The state was called as Kukara during Mughal reign but later during the British Governance, the state was called with the name with which we know it today.

The Betla National Park
Extended in the area of 250 kms, the Betla National Park is one of the most sought after tourists’ destinations. Palamau Tiger Reserve
Part of a combination of Betla National Park and the Palamau Sanctuary, the Palamau Tiger Reserve is now under Project Tiger since 1973. The reserve is an ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers as it houses different sort of wildlife including tiger, wolves, leopards, sloth bear, four horned antelope, mouse dear and many more. Jonha Falls
Jonha falls is a beautiful waterfall located at the distance of 34 kms from Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. Also known as Guatam Dhara, the waterfall is one of the best spots for picnickers and for those coming here to celebrate there holiday or vacations.
Baidyanath Dham or Deoghar
Baidyanath Dham or Deoghar as it is called by the devotees is one of the most sacred and holiest pilgrimage sites of the Hindu in India fetching millions of devotees across the country every year. The place is mainly devoted to Lord Shiva about whom it is believed that he resides here with goddess Parvati and bestows shower of blessings to the devotees who come here by travelling hundred of miles to offer the holy water of Ganga on the Kama Lingam of Shiva. Baidyanath Dham means a place of God Shiva which was discovered in around 1596 AD by hunter. A tour to this sacred shrine means receiving the divine blessings of Lord Shiva as well as sightseeing of various temples carved with unique paintings and decked by wooden artefacts, jewelled adornment and many more.
