Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Arrival in Delhi, and get transferred to your hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi - Amritsar
Take an express train to Amritsar, the holy city of the Sikhs. Amritsar derives its name from the sacred pool - Amrit (nectar) sar (pool). In the noon, you will be taken to the Golden Temple - the holiest of the holy Sikh shrines.
Day 03 : Amritsar - Dharamsala Drive (199 kms / 6 hrs)
Take a morning drive through the mountains to reach the upper Dharamsala, populary known as Meleodganj. This is a hill station and offers a wonderful view of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. It’s the place of the fourteenth Dalai Lama and the Headquarters of the Tibetan government in exile. A large Tibetan refugee settlement is there in the town.
Day 04 : Dharamsala
Visit "Namgyal monastery," Dalai Lama's main Temple. In the afternoon, take a gentle stroll around the local bazaar (market) selling Tibetan exotica. You can also take an optional tour to Norbulingka Institute.
Day 05 : Dharamsala - Manali Drive: (265 Kms / 7 Hrs)
Take a jeep drive to Manali (2050 Mt.). Right through the way, see the Tea Gardens at Palampur and also visit the Shiva Temple at Baijnath.
Day 06 : Manali
Visit the four-tiered, pagoda shaped Dhoongri wooden temple (Hidmba Devi). The temple has intricately carved roof and a front doorway with figures and symbols. Once you drive to old Manali, you see old beautiful houses and ancient Manu Temple.
Day 07 : Manali - Keylong Drive (3350 M / 115 Kms)
Drive over the Rohang Pass (3980 m) to Keylong in the morning. The place is like an oasis of green fields, willow planted watercourses and mighty brown mountains. You will also get to see the lady of Keylong which is a magnificent snow covered peak. Also see the famous Shashur gompa.
Day 08 : Keylong - Sarchu Drive (4630 M / 163 Kms)
Get driven to Darcha, 18 km from Keylong. This is a starting point of a popular trekking option to get into Padum. The road from Darcha to Baralacha La (4892 m) passes all the way through Zing-Zing Bar and the sky blue Suraj Tal Lake. Sarchu, into Himachal Pradesh, is the place where most buses stop overnight.
Day 09 : Sarchu - Leh Drive (3505 M / 176 Kms)
Get driven to Leh; this astounding 20 kms of switchback road carries a spine-tingling 21 loops or hairpin bends. Cross the second highest pass on this road Lachlangla (5060 m). Carry on your drive and see the terrain changing. You cross the highest pass on this road Tanglangla (5378 m).
Day 10 : Leh
See the places like Shankar Gompa, Leh Palace and Namgyal Tsemo. Visit Spitul Gompa.
Day 11 : Leh
Take a full day excursion to Thikse Monastery; Later take a trip of the Hemis monastery, the most significant and the richest monastery in Ladakh. Also visit Shey monastery.
Day 12 : Leh - Delhi
Catch a flight to Delhi. See the places like Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, the President's House & Parliament House, Humayun's Tomb, the Qutab Minar, Birla Mandir and Lotus Temple.
Day 13 : Delhi - Out
Transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward destination.
