JAISALMER
The moment you visit Jaisalmer, also known as “Golden City” you will be awestruck to see the beautiful sight of the sandcastle-like fortress. Jaisalmer Fort
A trip to Jaisalmer automatically lets you visit the Jaisalmer fort. The fort is built on the hill Trikuta. The fort is the largest and most striking landmark of the city. There are lots of stalls, shops and business concerns inside the fort. Almost quarter of the population of the city is accommodated by the fort.
ManakChowk Marketplace
Once you step outside the fort, you will see the famous marketplace ManakChowk. You can bargain for the local products here.
Temples & Havelis
The Jain Temple inside the Jaisalmer fort is another tourists’ attraction of the city. Constructed in between 12th and 15th century, the temple is testimonial record of Rajasthan’s exclusive artistic quality. Havelis built by the affluent merchants is still in good condition. The beautiful craftsmanship done on the Havelis are peerless. You can watch Havelis such as Patwon-ki-Haveli and Salim-Singh-ki-Haveli, all famous for their exceptional cutworks, yellow and red stone treatment and bracket shaped adornment of peacocks.
Gadsisar Sagar Tank
This is one of the most famous places for tourist’s excursion. The tank used to be the source of water for the whole city. The tourists can spot migratory birds flocked together during winder.

You can see the Desert Culture Centre and museums here in the city.
