Day 01 (Wednesday): Mumbai
The train starts its journey from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai in the evening.

Day 02 (Thursday): Jaigadh
The tarin arrives at Bhoke Railway Station in the morning. You are then taken to an air-conditioned bus ride to Rai Bhatgaon Jetty for Back Water Cruise to Jaigad Fort. Take a sightseeing tour of Ratnagiri town in the noon. See the places like Ratnadurg Fort, Lokmanya Tilak Smarak and Ratnagiri Bazar. In the evening, the train leaves from Ratnagiri Railway Station.

Day 03 (Friday) : Sindhudurg
The train reaches at Sindhudurg Nagari Railway station in the morning. You are then taken to an air-conditioned bus ride to Malvan Jetty to visit Sindhudurg Sea Fort. You have the chance to enjoy a Back Water Cruise all the way through the Tarkarli creek upto Kalse Jetty. You are then taken to Sawantwadi town to visit 'Shilpagrama' (the craft village). Then train then leaves in the evening from Sawantwadi Railway Station.

Day 04 (Saturday): Goa
Morning arrival at Karmali, Goa. Take a sightseeing tour of Old Goa and see the places like Basilica De Born Jesus, Se Cathedral, Se Cathedral and Church of St. Francis of Assissi. You will be taken to a bus ride to Panjim to visit Dona Paula. The train leaves in the evening from Madgaon Railway Station.

Day 05 (Sunday): Pune
The train reaches at Pune in the morning. Take a sightseeing tour of the city and see the places like Mahatma Phule Mandai, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Sir David Sasoon Synagogues, Osho International Commune, Tribal Museum and Aga Khan Palace. More so, you are also given the pleasure of light and Sound Show at Shaniwarwada. The train then leaves late in the evening from Pune Railway Station.

Day 06 (Monday): Aurangabad
The train arrives at Aurangabad station in the morning. You are taken to a tour of the historical fort of Daulatabad and world-renowned Ellora caves. The sightseeing tour of Aurangabad will take you to the places like Shivaji Museum, Aurangabad Caves No. 7 & 8, Bibi-ka-Maqbara and shopping at Paithani, Himroo, and Bidriwork. The train hen leaves late in the evening from Aurangabad Railway Station.

Day 07 (Tuesday): Ajanta
The train arrives at Jalgaon Railway Station in the morning. After breakfast, you are taken to a sightseeing tour of Ajanta caves, the world-renwoned caves. Train leaves in the noontime from Bhusalwal Railway Station and reaches at Nashik Railway Station. Here, you get to see Panchawati Ghat and Sula Winery Yard. The train leaves late in the night from Nashik Railway Station.

Day 08 (Wednesday): Mumbai
Arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, Mumbai for departure to onward destination.

  • Any leg of minimum of 3 nights subject to availability will be given at the above-mentioned rates. Thus Mumbai-Goa and Goa-Mumbai sector will be sold as available segments to clients.
  • If however, the client undertakes the day programmer at Goa & Mumbai, an extra $ 100 USD per person OR in INR Rs.4200 will be charged.
  • Service Tax @ of 4.94% is applicable on the gross ticket value of the Deccan Odyssey tours commencing from September 2007.
  • This tax is also applicable on day programme at Mumbai & Goa.
  • Tariff is inclusive of travel / catering / conducted sight-seeing / entrance fee at Monuments / Parks / Palaces / Cultural Programmers / Boat Ride. The guest has to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.
  • Note: 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/ New Year
Passenger reservations/cancellation on the Deccan Odyssey may be done as per the following terms and conditions :

CANCELLATION Cancellation must be advised by Fax/E-mail/Letter to The Luxury Trains. On cancellation, refund will be made. Certain amount of the ticket value will be deducted as follows.

5% of the Ticket Value if the cancellation request is received before 60 days from the scheduled date of departure.

20% of Ticket Value if cancellation request is received within a period of 30-59 days from the scheduled date of departure.

50% of ticket value if cancellation request is received within the period of 15-29 days from the scheduled date of departure.

100% of ticket value if cancellation request is received within the period of 14 days or before the scheduled date of departure.

No refund or adjustment will be made in the event of interruption of journey by a tourist on his own after the commencement of the tour.

Varies from 8oC to 30oC between September to March and in April it is from 26oC to 35o C.

The two restaurant cars, serve a range of Indian, Continental, Maharashtrian, Goa and Chinese cuisines. Menus are changed seasonally.
