CHITTORGARH


Chittorgarh in Rajasthan, the most romantic city, is an extremely popular place for their chaotic and glorious past. Called as the pride of Rajasthan, It simply reminds tourists about some of famous battles of our history. This place is a true testimony to rich kings, kindgom for their gallantry, honour and sacrifices. At the same time, the great forts, palaces and temples here remind one of the glorious past that Chittorgarh has gone through. It has faced three bloodiest attacks from three different kings: Alauddin Khilji's in 1303 AD; Bahadur Shah in 1533 AD and Akbar. It’s famous the world over for its fort that attracts lots of tourist and visitors to get an in depth view of Great Rajput rulers sacrifices.

Chittorgarh Fort
The Chittorgarh Fort is a gigantic structure perched on a hill spread over an area of 280-hectare. The Rana Kumbha Palace, Fateh Prakash Palace, Tower of Victory and Padmini's Palace are among the monuments housed within the fort.

Sita Mata Sanctuary
The jungle of Sita Mata is spread across over Aravalli ranges and Malwa plateau. Three rivers flow through the forest that adds to its attraction. Tourists can see a wide range of animal here including leopard, hyena, jackal, fox, porcupine, sambar, wild boar, four-horned antelope and countless others.

Kirti Stambh
The Kirti Stambh, a Jain structure dedicated to Adinath, the 1st Jaina Tirthankar, was built in the 12th century A.D by a wealthy Jain merchant. It attracts a vast number of Jain followers from all parts of the globe.

Victory Tower
Rightly situated within the premises of Rana Kumbha Palace, Victory Tower reminds and reveres the victory of Rana Kumbha over Mahmud Khilji.

Rana Kumbha Palace
A classic specimen of Rajput architecture, the Palace was built by Rana Kumbha.

Kumbha Shyam Temple
This tempt was built during the region of Rana Kumbha and exhibits a fine example in the Indo-Aryan style. The shrine is well-known for housing an image of Varaha, the boar incarnation of Vishnu.

Dabok Airport, Udaipur 90 Kms

By Rail
The Jaipur Express departs from Chittorgarh at 5:50 AM & arrives at Jaipur at 1:45 AM , The Chetak Express departs at 6:40 AM & arrives art Udaipur at 10 AM & NHeading north departs at 9:50 PM & reached Delhi at 1:10 PM . The Ahmedabad Express leaves at 2 PM & reaches Ahmedabad at 4:20 AM.

By Road
There are regular express buses to major destinations like New Delhi (14 hours at 8:30 PM), Ajmer (4 hours), Jaipur (8 hours) & Udaipur (3 hours)
