History
Although, the state of Chhattisgarh has recently come into existence but the land holds age old historical background and finds its description in various ancient books, literary works and inscriptions. Mythologically, the place is known due to the visit of Lord Rama to spend part of his exile here. The entire state has considerable dominance of tribes over the total population of tribes in India. The state experienced several tribal rebellions for many decades. In spite of being tribal dominant region, the state is also getting through the experience of modern culture. This is clearly seen in the fact that Pardah system in the state has virtually abolished and women enjoy freedom and liberty of speech here.

Kawardha

Chitrakote Falls

Kanaker

Batsar
