ARUNACHAL PRADESH


The land of Chhattisgarh offers the tourists blends of various cultural heritage and beautiful sightseeing attractions. Located in the central part of India with RaipGeographically, the state of Arunachal Pradesh is a land with no dense population. The meaning of Arunachal Pradesh refers to the land of rising sun due to its location in the eastern-most region of India. The state is also called as the virgin land of India owing to abundance of vegetation and friendly climate. History


There is no transparent historical record of the state except few of oral literature and many historical ruins from the time of Christian era. It is said that the McMahon Line was drawn by Sir Henry McMahon marking the border between three nations: British, India and Tibet followed by the Shimla Conference held in 1913-14. For two decades, the McMahon Line remained obscured in Indian survey and later in 1937 the Indian government published a map accepting the Mc Mohan Line as the border of the three nations. And it was in the year 1938 that the refurnished map of Indian survey showed Twang as a part of Tibet Territory.

Culture


This naturally blessed state with many attractions is also rich in its cultural context. The state truly represents its self individuality through its folk songs, dances and crafts. Out of 65 percent of total population, the majority of them are tribes belonging to either Tai-Burmese origin or Tibetan ones. The state offers blends of artistic craftsmanship displaying outstanding ranges of crafts like weaving, paintings, wood carving, fabricating baskets and many more. Monpa are said to be deft in carpet weaving apart from making painted wooden pots.

Sightseeing Attractions of the State


Itanagar
Itanagar is the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh and is quite famous for housing blends of historical attractions in the form of brick-built forts. Rajbhavan, Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum and the legendary Ganga Lake are some of the famous tourists sightseeing attractions in Itanagar.

Tawang
The site is one of the famous tourist attractions in Arunachal Pradesh owing to its decades old Tawang monastery, also a birthplace of the 6th the Dalai Lama.

Parashuram Kund
The site has its legend that a great sage called Parashuram got himself absolved by taking a holy dip into a river named Lohi which late became known as Parashuram Kund. The site remains hummed with activities of devotees during Parashuram Mela held in the month of January every year.

Malinithanm
The site is famous for housing a temple dated back to 8th century. Sightseeing of such a historical asset is really a joy redefined. The temple came into view during extensive excavation of the place. Consequently, the temple with icons of deities, animal motifs and perfect floral designs dug out of the earth. The temple is somewhat insignia of the past still unknown by many.

Bhismak Nagar
Often niAs the name itself suggests, the site is famous due to the mythology saying Rukamani, the daughter of Bhismaka, ruler of the Bhismak Nagar had eloped with Lord Krishna. Apart from that the site is also known for its beautiful natural view.
